When a skier asks AI about snow, be the answer.
More travelers plan trips by asking ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot instead of searching Google. When they ask “where's the best powder this weekend?” or “how deep is the base at your resort?”, the assistant answers from whatever it can find — usually a stale scrape or a guess, and often wrong. The SnowData Network makes sure the answer is your verified report instead.
Without verified discovery
A traveler asks an AI assistant about your mountain. It scrapes a cached page, mixes up last week's base depth, lists a lift that's closed for the season, and hedges with “check the resort's website.” The skier moves on to a resort that gave a confident, current answer.
With SnowData
The assistant finds your resort in the registry, confirms the data is genuinely yours, and answers with this morning's verified report — depth, new snow, lifts, surface. Current. Confident. Attributed to you.
Nothing technical to build. Most resorts have no developers — and don't need any. SnowData can generate, sign, and host everything required to make your resort discoverable to AI assistants. You just submit your snow report.
Under the hood this is ARD — the open standard backed by Google, Microsoft, GitHub, Hugging Face, and GoDaddy, with cryptographic verification. The full open standard lives at opensourcesnow.com. Want to run it yourself? The technical steps are below. Don't want to think about any of it? You don't have to — that's what we're for.
Why join
When a traveler asks an AI assistant a ski question, the agent searches the SnowData registry and routes to the right resource — yours.
We only rank cryptographically verified resources (did:web + Ed25519-signed catalogs). Verification is the signal agents trust.
Nothing changes about how you build. Agents still call your MCP server or API directly — we sit in front, at discovery time only.
Publishing and verified indexing for ski & snow resources is open. Featured placement and analytics are the paid tier.

{ "query": { "text": "lift tickets and snow report for the Alps" } }How to join — three steps
Host a static ARD manifest at https://yourdomain.com/.well-known/ai-catalog.json describing your MCP servers, APIs, agents, or datasets — each with 2–5 natural-language representativeQueries. Serve it over HTTPS as application/json with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *.
Add a trustManifest with a did:web identity and an Ed25519 signature over each entry, and publish your public key at /.well-known/did.json. This is what flips you from listed to verified. We can share a reference signer.
Email partners@snowdata.ai with your domain. We crawl your catalog, verify the signatures against your DID, and add you to the registry — usually same day.
