We believe the world's snow data should be verified at the source, structured for the AI era, and free for the industry to participate in.
Snowdata was founded in 2026 by Mike Slone. We help resorts get their snow information into every channel that matters — their own website, the aggregators they already use, and the AI assistants people are increasingly using to plan ski trips.
We publish SnowSure, the consumer resort guide and the quarterly SnowSure Index. We steward the Open Source Snow Spec — an Apache 2.0 community standard for resort snow data.
The base data tier is free for resorts, forever. The MCP is free for individual developers, forever. We earn our keep on premium analytics, commercial AI access, and enterprise data feeds.
